New build contract secured

D&PW have been awarded a contract to build a new residential proerty near the centre of Trowbridge. The property, a 2-bedroom bungalow, is the latest in a number of exciting projects which D&PW have won against stiff opposition.

The project brought many chanllenges and D&PW were involved from the outset to assist with the planning of the new build project.  "As is often the case, the building plot was small and there were issues with drainage and sewerage pipes" says Pete Wordley, director at D&PW.  "Initially, we tried to assist the client by getting the pipes moved but this was clearly going to be cost-prohibitive, so we moved the building instead!".

By redesigning the building, D&PW were able to comply with the local planning regulations, save the client money and still maintain a good-sized unti on the plot.  Everyone's a winner!

As a result, the client has engaged D&PW to complete the project.  Building works are expected to start in the spring of 2009.
